Unhappy Prewar 38/44 OD ?

I was cleaning my prewar 38/44 OD and noticed that the side plate number did not match the barrel, cylinder, ejector star, and butt number which all match#59351. Is the side plate number an assembly number?

I believe that is the case. I just checked my pre-war Heavy Duty to be sure. It should match the assembly number in the yoke.

Yes, the side plate is an assembly number and should match the number on the yoke.

Talking Assembly Number

Thanks guys, I went back and took off the side plate and yes, the three assembly numbers match #43102. Just wish I had a matching set of grips for the old gal. She shoots like a dream with an action as smooth as butter and the blue finish is 90+% with case colors at 98%+.
