Inherited a Smith & Wesson .38 . I read the list of information so here goes

Hand Ejector
No Model Number
Butt Serial Number 9767
Barrel 1 7/8"
Fixed Sights
4 screw
Diamond Grip

Welcome to the forum. Are there any letters in front of the serial number? Is it a 5 or 6 shot?

More info needed. Is it .38 SW or .38 Special? (Not the same) Is there a 5th screw hidden under the grips? Is there an extraction rod retainer under the barrel near the front sight? Pictures would be very helpful. If you are new to the forum, figuring out how to attach photos is a bit painful, but once you get the hang of it no big deal. Check here for instructions
