Default Dating a Pre model 30, 2" .32 HE

Several years ago forum members dated a .32 HE 2" for me, 575672, ship date of Mar or Apr 1952 which I appreciate.
I picked up another 2" a while back, 573085, and was wondering how much earlier (if any) this one's approx ship date would be.
It is in excellent shape, all 6 numbers match. I paid $450 out the door for it, which I thought was fair to me. No box, but had 100 rds factory ammo, 85 reloads, and set of Lee reloading dies.
thanks in advance

Congrats!

Your .32 Hand Ejector Improved I frame likely shipped between Feb and Mar 1952.

Smiths are not shipped in serial # order, only generally in order.

That's a great deal indeed. As for shipping dates, in my data sheets I have 2" Pre30 #573169 as shipping in March 1952. Like Hondo said, the factory didn't ship in numerical order. But these models seem to follow a general pattern so Feb.-March '52 sounds about right.

That would be a cool little Improved I frame and with round front sight! Too early for a pre model, which is the Model of 1953 NEW I frame.
