Engraved 22/32 HFT
For years I have wanted to have a pre-war, small frame, engraved, S&W revolver. Couldn't find one. So, several years ago I purchased a "beater" 22/32 HFT from a fellow SWCA member at the Kansas City Symposium. Afrer many hours of sanding, blocking, and polishing, I took the gun to Colt factory engraver, Bob Strosin, who also lives in Wisconsin. After we agreed upon a conservative pattern, Bob went to work. After Bob finished a fantastic job, I then took the parts to Classic Guns in Crete,IL where they applied the Carbona blue finish and color case hardening to the trigger and hammer. Finally, I made one of my beautiful walnut presentation cases and my dream came true. I now share it with you.

Very nice indeed. I'd love to see some closer images showing detail of that fine looking engraving. I have to admit I hadn't thought previously of engraving an I-frame... but that's pretty inspiring!

I agree with Green Frog--I'd love to see some closer shots of that fine engraving.
The total package is beautiful.

It's great to see guns personalized to what someone wants. Very nice, simple but well executed and tasteful. How long did it take to get engraved? I finally bought an engraved S&W at Tulsa last April been wanting one for a while. Enjoy your prize, Larry

What about those two-screw target stocks, Hobbs? Are they new recreations, NOS, or restorations? If the rest of the gun was a "beater" i can't imagine the original condition of the stocks being that perfect.

Searching for photos of engraved 22's, I rediscovered this thread and thought it deserved another run to the top. Beautiful vision and execution on all parts.
