Welcome to the forum.
Your gun is a .38 M&P. From the SN think it was probably shipped before 1920.
Some folks should be along shortly that can get pretty close to the date.

1919 would be a good guess for your M&P.

Forgot to say - Welcome to the Forum. What kind of stocks does it have? If walnut, they should have a gold washed medallion, if post 1920 it should have no medallion.

Round or square-butt?
