Special Triple Lock that you don't see.
Hi
This is a 5 inch Target Triple lock shipped in 1911 with factory letter. This is the only
one I have seen in all my years of collecting. I had a chance to buy this about 10 years ago.
The barrel length in Target Triple locks that are hard to find are 4 inch, 5 inch, 6 inch and
7 1/2. The Factory Finished Targets in Nickel are very hard to find. I am lucky to have this
5 inch and a 7 1/2 Target Triple Lock in Factory Nickel.
Enjoy the information and this very scarce Revolver.

Neat! I love 5" barrelled handguns. My 5" TL is a great shooter.
Has this one been shot?

I especially like the factory new luster on the stocks. That's hard to come by. She's a dandy alright.

Hi Jim,
I was looking into my "Way Back Machine", and came across one decent candidate for the original purchaser. The fact that it was a "Jr." makes for a more targeted search.
There was a Seaborn Foster Mills, Jr. that MAY fit the bill. Born Oct 21 1870 in Georgia... living in Alabama (probably Tuscaloosa) from 1908 to 1914... eventually passing away in South Carolina on Jan. 28 1940. Are you ready for this? He died at his home from an accidental gunshot wound... he was cleaning a shotgun, preparing for a hunting trip with his son.
No promises on this, but there are fewer S. F. Mills Juniors out there than you might think.
I have a copy of his obituary and a photo of his grave marker if desired.
I'm always happy to help.
Best wishes,
Roger aka Mr. Wonderful

Roger
you must know how to find these guys when I look I never come up with much.
Your help is really appreciated.
Thanks again when I get time I will call Roy and check on these two to see if there was a ship location. The problem is the records are very poor in this time frame.
