Exclamation Where is the best place to search for spare part?

I have old S&W Single Action Second model. However, somebody altered the extractor and the it is not functioning as it should. Nice revolver but a ******* disabled it even to show how it works without shot it.
Any idea where I can order the extractor to fix old buggy, who deserved better condition.
Thanks a lot

Welcome to the forum.

Good sources you probably use already are E-bay and Gunbroker. Set up a search for "smith wesson parts". Some listings are kits of used parts that are usually from guns destroyed by law enforcement with some to all of the parts except the frame included in the kits. You can generally win the entire parts kit for the price of the part that you want if you had bought it new.

Post an adv on this forum under the classified section.

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! Are you outside the US? It may be difficult to recommend parts suppliers that are not in the US. Also, many suppliers here don't ship internationally.

"Also, many suppliers here don't ship internationally."
There is a reason for that. Some gun parts require a US dealer (or indeed anyone) to have a munitions export permit to ship out of the country. Some may remember the story of Ranch Products, a manufacturer of full moon clips allowing use of .45 ACP ammunition in 1917 revolvers. They got in serious trouble some years ago for shipping clips out of the country without a munitions export permit. And they weren't even gun parts.

Moderators,

Any chance post #2 by Hondo44 can be saved as a sticky? That's a very valuable list of parts suppliers for guns the factory no longer supports.
