S&W .32 Long Hand Ejector
I found this small frame H-E in .32 S&W long today.
Nickle finish, 4.25" barrel. Serial 36253
Last patent date on top of the barrel is 1903.
It's seen better days but it's still tight and the bore is in great shape.
At $75.00 OTD I figure I could not go wrong as I have plenty of ammo for it already.

That's the model of 1903 first change. It likely shipped out around 1905. Looks in pretty good condition . I think you got it for a great price.

Nice shooter, but it may be re-nickeled by the looks of the edges, the pins, and the nickeled ejector rod knob. The stocks are from the 1920s and the originals would be black hard rubber. None of its issues will keep you from enjoying shooting the gun and especially for the price.

I've paid more (repeatedly) for several in worse condition. Nice buy.

Very nice score. Congratulations.
Those stocks are from the 1920s. The original stocks were probably hard rubber, and if you want to get back to the original configuration, it wouldn't be impossible to find a set in reasonable shape.

Like these?
They have been in my box-o-grips for 20 years I bet.
They fit fine.

I'd have been on that like a sixteen-year-old on a pizza buffet. Terrific price.

That gun if at the local pawn shop around here would have a price tag of $500+.
$75 is price of a for parts only gun.

Where is "around here"? I bought one about 3 yrs ago, blued finish, not refinished, 70% condition, out the door for under $200. I had so little into it that I could justify spending $50 for a factory letter. In the next day or so, I might take photographs of this particular firearm, with the factory letter. In a new thread, so as not to hijack yours. The factory letter findings were atypically interesting. Not in any sense that makes this firearm any more valuable, but atypical, nonetheless. Keep posted!

I was looking at some completed auctions on GunPorker and as S&W revolvers go one in like condition as my example are pretty inexpensive.
Around $200.00 or less as a average not counting shipping/transfer.
LOL....Wanting and getting are two different things. There are a lot of them where the seller either had one priced to the moon or a high reserve that did not sell and were relisted time and again.

I live near a small town and it is the only pawn shop around the area. Any older S&W or Colt revolver even with a poor finish are above $500. I don't know how much they actually sold for but they often weren't there for long. IMO some people that didn't know squat about gun values or they got a heck of a lower price than the tag had. I just shake my head and walk away.

IMHO, "ya done good, kid. Ya done real good." I can call you kid because I'm an old phart and feel like it!
Having a bunch of 32 S&W L ammo to shoot in it already is just icing on what I would call a very sweet cake. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed the several I own and have owned.

Kid?....Well thank you.
I'm in my 60s, I often start sentences with "In my youth".
I bought several boxes of Rem. .32 S&W long target (LRN) last month when a LGS closed it's doors.
