S&W Service Grips with Grip Adapter
Almost skipped the gun show this morning since it's so nice out today, but good thing I went. Show attendance was very light so I had the space to actually examine all the glass cabinets and junk boxes on the tables. I lucked into this set of N Frame Service grips with S&W grip adapter:
SN on the grips is 54168 and I have a Reg Mag with a SN less than 1000 away, so it looks like they might be replacing the pre-War Magnas on it.
Any idea what these are going for nowadays?
Also - what is the spacer made of - rubber? gutta percha? Is there anything I should do to it to preserve it?

A set went on ebay ( may have been K ) a couple of months ago for a little over $500. There has been a set on GB for over a year for $750.

Bruce

Thanks for all the comments and likes gents. I tried grip adapter on my Reg Mag:
Unfortunately, the grip adapter is a little to long for this gun on the bottom and very slightly oversized on the back strap. I could fit them to the gun, but I already have a period correct set of magnas that fit like they were made for the gun:
It looks like I'm going to have find another gun for this grip adapter. Just another reason to head out to the next gun show

That was the way they were made. Doesn't make them very comfortable when firing magnum loads, lol. Magnas were a real improvement. You did well to find those in great condition. I really like your RM too, King sights are the best!

Thanks, it's got a King Cock-eyed short action hammer too. When I bought the gun it had Coke Target grips on it in like new condition - talk about some nice take-offs.
