...I think it is from 1945...which would agree with the second to last sentence stating it would appear on dealer shelves by early spring (1946)...also still has the large ejector rod knob...

Likely they pulled stock artwork for this ad from the pre war K-22/40 .

Funny. My Dad was a Distinguished Pistol shot and won 3 gold medals in 1952. He was part of the USMC Rifle and Pistol team. He used a High Standard issue semi auto for the 22 part of the matches. In civilian matches he used a Target Woodsman with a piece of lead taped to the bbl. I still have that pistol. Lead is still attached. Big Larry

Post war K22 advertisement with an odd pic. I have one. That pic shows a Outdoorsman hammer, 22/40 rear sight and prewar mangnas that ended up not making it on the k22. The rib must have been a pretty late addition before first post war production began.
