Default 1st Model Outsdoorsman

Located an Outdoorsman on Saturday. Don't know much about the value of these guns. I saw the serial number and it looked to be in the 630,000 range if memory serves correctly. Shows use but probably in the 85-90% overall range. Nice and tight. What is the price range on these models now?? No box or extras either.

The gun as described would bring around $1000. IMHO.

Pictures and serial # would help. Is it a .22 or .38 caliber. If the serial number is six digits and starts with a 6 with no letter prefix such as S then it's most likely a K-22 Outdoorsman 1st Model.

K-22 Outdoorsman 1st Model serial # range 632124 to 682419.

The SCSW 4th Edition lists the following values for K-22 Outdoorsman 1st Model:
ANIB - $3000
Excellent - $2400
Very Good - $1850
Good - $1500
Fair - $750

Checking closed successful auctions (i.e. actually resulted in a sale) on Gun Broker over about the last 3 months:
these are just quick guesstimates of condition
one in good condition without box and without original grip - $595
one in good condition without box - $695
one in good condition without box - $795
one in very good (possibly excellent) condition without box - $1245
There were three others that were all about excellent condition with boxes that sold for about $2500 each

It sure looks like a first model to me. The asking price is $999.00.

Check the serial number again. As g8rb8 said 632124 was the first one. An early serial number may bring more money.
