Default 38 special target m&p thumb cylinder release

I putting back together a m&p 2919 made 38 special, target, is there anything like a spacer between the thumb release and frame ? The reason I ask is there is wear from the movement Of the thumb piece on the side of the frame, Thanks

I worked on the cylinder release bar and had to file the rear half moon piece down so it would clear the hammer. Seems to be smooth as silk now.
