Default Pre model 27 6 inch reblue. Is it worth it?

Been a while since I posted anything. Where I live we don't see too many pre model anything's and when This pre model 27 5 screw landed at the LGS it raised my eyebrows. It's all matching numbers, even grips, dated 1954-1955. Everything is tight and right. It has been reblued, beautifully I might add. What would y'all consider its value? I'm buying it regardless because i like it and probably can't afford an original one as nice as this. Thanks in advance for your help.

It does have a very nice refinish. I wouldn't be surprised if you find a R-B or Bi (blue or bright blue) stamp, along with a month/year code, on the lower left side of the grip frame.

Depending on whether it is a factory re-do, somewhere in the $700-800 range sounds about right. However, if you have already decided to buy it, does any estimate really matter? Just bring enough money .

I agree with Murphydog. I'd be all over that for $800 or less.

I paid around the same thing for the same model gun that had been stored in a holster and had some bluing loss along the sides of the barrel. I contemplated a refinish, but the gun was so nice in every other respect, I decided against it. It is a great revolver, as are all of those pre-model number '50's guns. Yours is a beauty. Enjoy it.

See what else you can get for 800 bucks and you will wonder why you left it in the case so long, for someone else to stumble along.

I wouldn't have came home to ask the forum. For $800 I would have snatched it up. The refinish looks great, so it wouldn't be a huge deterant for me.
