Brought home a 4 screw Model 19 no dash 4 inch. Then figured it shouldn't come home alone & picked up a 27-2 5 inch with the wrong stocks. I'll get some photos up when I get home. All in all a good day & value wise I came out ahead.

Thumbs up

Nice score!

I really like the stocks on the Mod 19.

After doing some research, it appears the Model 27 in a 5 inch barrel is somewhat rare. Didn't know that when I was looking at it. Apparently nobody else did either I'm guessing.

Couple really nice catches there. Congrats. A bit envious of that five inch in particular. Glad you shared em here.

I don't think the 5" is rare, it's just very desirable.

Those modern day stocks have to go I think. Might be reason enough for some nice wood or antler I'm thinking.

Good Job!!! Both are nice, but the 27 is something I have lusted after. Got a lousy 6" 28 no dash instead. (very nice actually, I was lying) 27 does need some "SPECIAL" wood. Enjoy them! Bob

The letter's came back a few weeks ago. The 19 shipped 28 August 1958 to Stoeger Arms, NY, NY.

The 27 left 20 June 1972 & went to V.F. Grace Co, Anchorage Alaska.
