1926 K target
Here is my new (to me) target k frame. I date it to 1926 because: "Made in USA" adapted 1922, Serrated trigger and grip (23), "Reg US Pat" on hammer and trigger adapted 1926, stopped with WW II, and stepped mushroom extractor replaced 1927. Came with the large target grip, I put on the incorrect one.

If the SN is 581759 as it appears, it would have shipped in 1928-29. Probably manufactured in 1927.

No indication of re-blue, except the sideplate which I touched up. It was so off my FFL and I swore it could not be original. It is, with matching assembly numbers. All other serial numbers match, have not yet pulled the target sight to check for number.
This was a gun the auction company listed the assembly number as the sn. We are still discussing this.

Nice, you would buy because of the grips, I bought in spite of the grips! Weatherby got the stocks, I keep the gun even if it isn't the 1905 it should have been!

I pulled the rear sight, sn matches there too.
These old guns may be considered shooters to some of you, but the use develops character, only hope mine will someday become worthwhile finds for the next generation.
