Talking Showing Off an Old 44

I bought a second model 44HE a couple of years ago, it had a cut barrel and fitted with a crude rifle front sight. I could not hit the broad side of a barn with it if I had been standing on the inside. So this past weekend it was restored with a 5" NEW old stock barrel that has never been on a gun, from my stash of parts. I intend to take it to the range ASAP to try it out. Here are a few before and after shots. The Sambar stag grips are on one of my 3rd model 44s. I picked up a set of very old jigged bone grips cut like the 1910 era walnut service grips with concave tops They are polishing out nicely. Here are a few quick shots.
