Default 38-32 Terrier ?

I have what I believe is a S&W 38-32 Terrier in 38 S&W s/n 687xx. All numbers match on the barrel, butt cylinder and grips. I think it was built around 1958 and just curious about it's worth.

Thanks in advance.

It's a nice example and I think it would be in the $450-500 range, but you aren't thinking about selling it, right?

Probably ca. 1953 judging from from other close SNs on my list. I'd say around $500 is a fair price. At least I'd be interested at $500 or less. .38 S&W ammo is still loaded, but is a little difficult to find.

No, not just yet anyway. Just going through the guns I have picked up over the years and trying to get a handle on what I have.

Thanks

Hondo44 will be along to tell me how far off I am, but from the round trigger guard, the round front sight profile, and the old type cylinder release, I would put it at somewhere around 1953 or so. It is definitely an Improved I-frame, and as for value, they are all over the place, but $450-500 give or take sounds about right to me as well. There have been a couple of Terrier threads of late and I've made my liking for these "smallest ever" 38 caliber S&Ws pretty clear.

Thanks, not wanting to sell right now, just trying to figure out what I have. Will post some other S&W.

Thanks All
