Default Is the Victory Data Post still open?

New member wants information on Victory model s/n V608494?
All numbers match. Cylinder has a V a P and an S. The yoke has an S. The barrel has a V and a P. Lanyard loop and serial numbered grips. No pictures available yet.

Yes, it is still open. Post there and you should get a pretty fast answer.

My V650xxx shipped in August of 1944.

Also, any other markings on the bottom of the grip frame, aside from the serial number and maybe an ordnance bomb. Any other letters?

ORDANANCE BOMB US PROPERTY GHD on top strap. 4" barrel, P mark on left side next to hammer. Smooth walnut grips. Lanyard loop.

If in .38 Special, highly likely it was a Victory originally shipped to the U. S. Navy. And that's about all the information anyone can tell you about yours.
