Default Great score or merely good score?

I stopped into my favorite LGS/Range this morning just after opening and they had JUST put a 5-Screw pre-14 target masterpiece on the used-consignment shelf. 6" tube. Timed correctly on all six bores both single and double action. VERY SLIGHT hangup on cylinder latch on one cylinder due apparently to a small squiggle in the ejector rod. One moderate tap with a babbit bar should take care of that. No rust, only two substantial flaws in the blue. One about halfway down the barrel on the left side. One just below the rear sight on the left side. (A Python the same guy dropped off at the same time had the same blue wear. I suspect the spot below the rear sight was from a safety snap on a holster.) Sideplate and yoke fit were very good. No buggered up screws. Really ugly black plastic target grips. Got it for $465 out the door. Serial # K43XXX. I think I did pretty good.

Great score, but might be better still if it has the Large Extractor Rod Knob (LERK).

I thought these all had the small knob. this one definitely does. Partridge sight too, I forgot to mention that. I believe that is normal.

Pictures will follow not-too-soon. Since it is used they have to keep it in inventory 30 days for DOJ to check it for stolen, etc..

Sounds like you did very well. I paid nearly that much for one over 5 years ago.
