VICTORY Redux

Always nice to see these guns. Thanks for posting it again.
The machined blued washers are relatively uncommon and seem only to have been used very early on these postwar M&P revolvers. As far as I can tell, they were all gone by June, 1946. They were replaced with a stamped steel washer that was also blued.
There were also machined washers that weren't blued. Those seem to be slightly more common than the blued examples, but they were also gone by the end of Spring, 1946.

Very nice! I just recently bought an SV from a local forum member that's in great condition. I haven't gotten pics of it yet. Mine also has the machined blued washers.

Thanks for posting, nice gun and pictures, and also for including the letter. I don't recall seing one of these lettered before. Interesting that Roy actually terms these "Post World War II Victory Model", regardless of the absence of all Victory features (including the war ), other than the V in the serial.
