Well, how often do you run across a veritable time capsule and a neat serial number, too?
I think it was money well spent.

Wow! I'd pay $900 for that, for sure. I have one in a little worse shape (1917 manufacture) waiting for me to pick up. $500 and I think I'm getting a great deal.

The shine on the side plate crew heads is really something.
Stunning.

Hey, your location says Finger Lakes, NY. Are you the gentleman that had the 1903 Colt .32 goodies at your table? He said he was from New York!
I absolutely love every single OGCA that I have ever attended. Suppose I am "young" yet, only been going about five years. It is for sure the place for me to be, even on shows where you don't seem to find something amazing to bring home you can enjoy conversations and and displays that you don't get anywhere else. Simply love the OGCA shows and hope to keep going until my age catches up with much of the membership!

Jeez, I'm so rude -- apologies!
That revolver is gorgeous and I love the matching numbered stocks also. I have two going back near that far... both are nickeled 6" barrel, one from 1917 and the other from 1921 that my Grandfather bought in 1923!
Yours is simply beautiful and far higher grade than either of mine.

Boy, that gun is as good as it gets.
Wonder where it was hiding in the 20s and on.

Well you keep good company! Bob was most helpful to me and courteous also, I was glad to be able to buy a magazine from him and take a little experience along "free with purchase!"

That is a terrific find! The grips look like they are brand new! Are you going to letter it? To me, the condition of that gun definitely makes the price paid worth it.

It doesn't get much better than that one! If you wouldn't have gotten it 6 months from now you would have been kicking yourself.

At 101 years old, that one would've been pretty hard for me to resist for $900. Did the seller have any insight about how it remained in that condition throughout its life?

Said it was owned by a family member, also said it was always kept in an oiled rag and put in a dry place. Been in his family for years, doesn't know who exactly bought it new but it was a family gun.
