Default trying to identify S&W combat masterpiece mod15

I have a s&w combat masterpiece serial num k90498
I think it might be pre model 15 but I'm not sure.
Just looking for any info on it. It's a beautiful revolver and fires better than just about anything I've ever owned.

Your .38 Combat Masterpiece dates to 1950, so yes, it predates the Model 15 by about eight years.

A wonderful revolver!
