S&W revolver 32 long CTG
Have an old revolver, unsure how old. Serial number 417179. It's in pretty rough shape. Wondering if worthwhile recondition.

You didn't give much information. Reconditioning is very seldom worth the expense. Sounds as if you may have a Model of 1903 from around 1925 but there are other possibilities. Pictures would help.

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! There is a sticky post at the top of the forum that gives instructions on how to ID your gun. Read through that and post some pictures. If your gun is a S&W, it probably looks like this.
