See post 46 above. Unfree states will sometimes have a C & R (> 50 year old gun) exemption.

A .44 Magnum from 1956 would be worth $500, if the top strap was fully intact.

The beloved state of California has a roster of handguns that are allowed to be shipped in.(DOJ ca handgun roster) They mandated the manufactures have to pass a test. I do not remember the numbers but it went from thousands allowed in to just a several hundred.

Good read. I contacted my ffl and he agreed with the exception of semi-auto rifles and semi-auto hand guns. None allowed regardless of age, unless on roster.
