Just read it last night. Fascinating stuff, although the chances of me winding up with one are pretty slim!! I'd love to find one though, there is a lot of history packed into their saga.

Great Article and very informative. Its a long, long, shot to find one...but you never know. At least its fun to look.

I encourage folks here that aren't members of the SWCA to join! There is some great information that comes out in these Journals.

I second that! In addition to Kevin's article on the 2" Victory models, Roy published a one-page document from the archive about war-time changes to the K-frames which makes this an issue indispensable to any pre-Victory/Victory fan. Answers questions we've been guessing about for years.

Thanks to those who have commented. The article actually got a bit garbled in printing and some critical information left off. I hope for corrections in the next issue.

I would also like to reinforce what Absalom says about the report to the Ordnance Dept that Roy printed. It answers all the question about Victory Model finishes and busts a lot of theories about phosphate finished revolvers.
