Just from what I've learned from this thread:
K-22 Outdoorsman Appreciation and Photo Thread
I'd put the shipping date at mid 1930s. I do believe the ivory front sight bead was an available option. Whether it's actually elephant tooth or not I don't know, but given the time frame I'd say yes.

SN 656713 is probably a 1936 shipment. The closest on my SN list to yours is also a M&P target model, SN 6577xx shipping in 9/36. And it had to be made after yours was. I also show another with a higher SN than yours, 6591xx shipping in 12/36. But it's possible that yours shipped later than 1936.

I would estimate your K-22 shipped in April-June 1936. The front sight on your K-22 appears to be a Call front sight with an ivory bead. It was an extra cost option for the K-22.

Very neat Walter.
If not too much trouble I'd love to see a close up of the front sight.
Then I can imagine myself shooting it well.

Additional references, K-22 Outdoorsmans with SNs 657768 and 657844 both shipped in September 1936. So it's looking pretty likely that yours shipped a little earlier in 1936.

Dick, Here's one on an M&P target that might tide you over until "water o" can bring us his. Russ
