Default M&P 32WCF

I was looking at an old hand ejector at a local shop No model #. Priced right. Caliber is 32 WCF. .32/20 I guess. My question is can you fire other .32 rounds in this? If so what? Thanks, Bob

You shouldn't. They are also seen stamped as .32 WINCHESTER (earliest) and .32 -20 (latest). There were about 144000 of these made from 1899-late 1920s. Those with the .32 WCF barrel stamp were made ca. 1914-22.

32 WCF (32-20) is a bottle neck cartridge, unlike the other 32 handgun calibers, and no other caliber should be fired out of a revolver chambered for it. It is a wonderful caliber and capable of some pretty good ballistics, especially if you reload for it. A S&W K frame in 32 WCF caliber is a fun little gun. The sights are a little tough to see, especially for those of us over 50, but with a little effort they are usable. A classic revolver in a classic caliber.

Thanks for the info. I load 6 calibers, but they are all straight wall. I saw the gun at $399, and got interested. Gonna forget it!Bob

Unless all original and in fairly high condition, $399 is a little much anyway. High condition .32-20 M&Ps are not too often seen.

Thanks! I knew nothing about them. Who needs yet another caliber to reload? Bob

My current count is 10 handgun, 14 rifle, three shotshell, and maybe a half-dozen die sets that I no longer have guns for.

Fortunately, the only loader, & equipment I no longer use, is 12 gauge. So shells, just sit there. Due to a medical problem, I no longer shoot shotgun. All are gone except 1. Oh well, it certainly could be worse. Bob

I have 100+ die sets and only have guns for a 1/3 of them. 2 yrs
ago I had guns for 2/3rds of them. I never get rid of dies unless
I have doubles. It never fails you get rid of a set of dies and next
day you end up with the gun. Then you have to buy another set.
It just so happens 32/20 is a calibre I load for and cast bullits for.
32/20 is very useful cartridge for small game and things that
aggravate you and economical to load.
