Default Model 101

At auction this past weekend I bought a round butt 4 screw 10-1 marked 101. It's a 4" heavy barrel thats seen a lot of action. It has an old re blue where the S&W shield has nearly been buffed off. The trigger and hammer have either been polished or chrome (not showing casehardening). The front sight is notched to accept a color insert (missing). The trigger guard has either been worn down or ground down on right side and the trigger pull is as sweet as any revolver I've ever felt. It came with a set of un-marked wooden grips but it feels right in my baseball mitt hand. It had tIght end shake and lock up. Someone used it a lot and modified it some but kept it very functional. Now to get it to the range.
