Default Possible Baby Chief

I was checking out a local trader board and this popped up I believe it is way over priced ( 450 ) but I think its a BABY CHIEF What would you consider a fair offer

Looking at the shape of the trigger guard it doesn't appear to be a Baby Chief. If so, the trigger guard would be more rounded. I saw that listed too, seems to be too much money for that one.

The Baby Chief stopped around SN 45964. And you are correct about the price.

If all the parts (aside from the rubber stocks) are original, it is no older than 1955 (later trigger guard) and no later than 1966ish (when the flat latch went away). Agree it is too high an asking price.

It's a Model of 1953 NEW J frame. A partial serial # and whether it has a 3 or 4 screw (including the screw hidden by the grips) will help pin down the vintage for a value.
