Pre Mod-29 5 screw 44mag
I have a Pre-Mod-29 44 mag 4" barrel made in June 1957. Question what were the production figures for the pre- mod-29 5-screws in 6-1/2" barrels and 4" barrels? Thank you.

First of all, welcome to the forum. I don't know the answer, but I would guess from what I have observed that there is probably right around 1/3 of the ones made were 4"ers.
They are beautiful guns and we love photos, so to tide us over until you post a few of yours, here's one that shipped in the same date range:
[Edited to add - Doc44, who posted below, is the Forum's go to source for all things .44 Magnum - trust what he has to say]

To the OP, welcome to the forum and yes, we love pictures.
To RKmesa, even if I did not like guns I think I would like that picture. WOW!

Approximately 6500 44 Magnums with a 5-screw frame were manufactured. 44 Magnums with a 4-inch barrel began to ship in late 1956 and shipments of this barrel length increased significantly beginning in January 1957. Based on my limited research, I would estimate the number of 4-inch 44 Magnums with a 5-screw frame at 1,000 to 1,500 revolvers.
