Found some old stag stocks
For my sort of rough old M1917, I do like it now I have it in good shooting shape. It has a sort of been there and done that look.

What a great match! The old war horse and old premium Sambar Stag grips with similar aging.
You can sure tell the original owner of the stag grips was right handed. Every bit of dried blood is worn out of the 'bark' grooves at the bottom.

I gave 170 bucks for the stocks, but as y'all have observed, they fit the old piece so well.

I'll bet crazyphil or turnerriver or one of those holster guys would be the best guys to come up with the perfect holster. Any of those you listed would be great, especially with tooling or carving, and maybe a laced edging!!
Best Regards, Les

John, I wouldn't have bought one...my department presented it to me when I retired. Keep it for sentimental reasons, and will pass it on to one of my sons when I no longer need it!!
I do still use it and a revolver when I do my annual LEOSA quais, like earlier this month. So it gets shot once a year. Re: Revolvers... I just shot a 96% with the Glock, then turned around and shot the same course with my 640-1 Pro Series, and shot a 100%!!!
Best Regards, Les

Wow, just wow! All you need now is a period, semi-fancy holster and an invitation to a barbecue!

Great find on those stocks. Congratulations!
As for the Glock side-bar: in 100 years, if the frames haven't been melted down the ugly buggers will no doubt still be working. (smile)

I'm partial to Myres for these old N's. Especially when they have a little character.

Awesomely fine combination!! Any tooled leather will be a great. A period correct one would be nice. Any holster worthy of that gun could possibly make the cost of those stocks look like a bargain. Best of luck, hardcase60

Great find!
Aged Sambar is a perfect companion to any vintage revolver. As others have noted, get some leather and complete the set.
Thanks for sharing!

Something about a Nickel revolver and Sambar Stag stocks. They just seem to go together so well. For holster my vote would be for a carved Threepersons. sonorarr

There are some excellent M1917 replica military flap holsters available. And fairly inexpensive. I have several of them.
