Default New to me 37 no dash

Well I've gone and done it again. This one came in on consignment at the shop I work at, I had some graduation money burning a hole in my pocket, and I just had to have it. Nickel plated model 37 no dash. Based on my best estimate with SCSW3, I believe it's a 1960 with serial number 233445.

The customer brought it in because he said his family had no use for it anymore. Story is back in the day his dad owned and operated a bar in Stockton, CA. He was followed home one night after closing and managed to get to his shotgun inside his house before things got bad. The next day, his friend who was a local police officer, gave him this revolver to defend himself should something like that happen again. Definitely looks like it's been carried a lot and shot a little. Please excuse the poor photo quality.

Also picked up another consignment gun while I was at it. We also had a slightly worn model 6904 in as well. Had to make that one mine too. The customer consigned it with the original 12 round magazines. Since I live in CA, those mags have to stay at the store. Somehow we had a factory 10 round mag on the shelf so I picked it up. Need to get myself some more mags though.

Love the J Frames. Especially nickel. No particular reason, but I can't seem to pass one up. Would like to run across a nickel 37. Great grab in my opinion!

After my spouse got her CCW she went to LGS and purchased a Nickel 2" RB Model 37 (w/o jimmy as I was on duty)

A Agency I was at in the 1990s issued Model 6909s for service weapons.

Very nice.

I have a no dash from about 1971, but it's not as nice as yours.

Blue with some holster wear. Most likely a typical BUG -- carried a lot, but shot little.

It is one of my more accurate J frames -- I seem always to do better with the square butt as it fits my medium/small hands well.
