Default S&W 22/32 frame size?

I'm looking at a 1917 s&w 22/32 heavy frame 6" barreled revolver. What size frame is it?

If you are looking for internal parts, be careful, since changes made along the way to the Model 1903, 32 HE changes were not adopted for the HFT until later. In 1917, for example, the 32 HEs had an improved hammer block safety that was not on a 1917 HFT. That would include a different sideplate, different frame with cut-out, and other small parts.

Yes, all "22/32 Heavy Frame Targets", "22/32 Targets" (after 1930), and all "22/32 Transitional Targets"(post war until 1953).

The Model of 1953 "22/32 Targets" were built on the NEW I Frame and on the J frame beginning Oct 1960.
