Looks like a .32 Regulation Police, 3rd model, from between 1911 - 1942. Probably dating to the 1930's. I have one dated 309xxx from March 1930.

These are .32 and .38 Regulation Police models. They both have the extension stocks and serial numbers on the front grip strap. The .32 is from the early 1930s (?), and the .38 from the late 1920s; others here may get you closer to a specific year.

The nickel finish on the .38 is better than on the .32; you might try a light abrasive and polishing, perhaps with Flitz. I'd guess the .38 would be in the $350-400 range and the .32 about $300. Hope this is helpful.

The .32 RP dates to the early 1920s. Note the mushroom ejector rod knob and the absence of a MADE IN U.S.A. rollmark in company with non-medallion RP stocks. (I am assuming the stocks are original; if so, they should have the gun's serial number written in pencil on the inside of the right cheek piece.)

The .38 RP probably dates to 1925. Again look for a serial number on the inside of the right cheek piece.
