Welcome to the Forum. We always like pictures as they help give you accurate information. The first thing you should know is the model you own and with these early dates, they could be a Model 1902 (round butt) or a Model 1905 (square butt). The first one is a 32/20 Hand Ejector, Model (1902 or 1905), manufactured in 1905 or 1906. The second is a 32/20 Hand Ejector, Model (1902 or 1905), 1st Change, likely made in 1907.

On my list is SN 253xx which shipped in 5/06. I do not have any on my list having a SN close to your 197xx, but it is likely to also have shipped in 1906. Value depends largely upon condition, and with no good pix, no one will have a clue. In average condition, original and complete, maybe $200-$300.

Welcome to the Forum.
One of them is a Model 1902 (round butt). Can't tell if the other is a round or square butt.

Both round butt .38s. The toe would be square if the left one was a sq butt.
The #s provided don't match up to the guns as serial #s, they're both 5 screw guns, way too late for those #s to be serial #s.
Did you take the assembly #s from the yoke with cyl opened?
What are the serial numbers on the butts of the grip frames?

The gun on the left was made in or after 1905 and before 1928. The gun on the right was made between 1902 and 1905. Jim noted the rounded toe and I see both guns have hard rubber grips which were installed on round butt guns while the square butts got wood.
Based on the condition I see, I would put them in the $150-250 range.

Thank you all for the comments so far. The numbers were taken on the bottom of the grip handle in the frame of the guns.

The gun 25 XXX is in the serial number range for a model 1902 on the right, and would have been made in 1902. The gun 19 XXX is too low a number for these models. Now if it were 79 XXX then it would have been made in 1905 - 6 which makes sense for the gun on the left.

They are actually .32-20s. If you enlarge the image you can read the chambering legend on one barrel, and the blurry rollmark on the other gun is the same length.
The round butt gun is a Model of 1902/first change based on the barrel flare where it meets the frame. I think that's the one with the 19xxx SN, which is a little bit outside the standard serial number range for this classification, and it would date from 1904 or 1905. The other one would be a 1905 first change, and would date to about 1906 or 1907.
