On consignment at local True Value; 4", 38 Special; grips without medallion, rounded pre WWII style checkered. Latest patent date is '14. Single line "Made in U.S.A." on right side of frame below cylinder. Serial # on butt is 600536, no letter prefix.
What year, approx., does this date to? Please and thank you!!

Sometime around 1929/30. Non-medallion stocks should still be correct.

600536 was likely made in 1928, could have shipped up to a couple of years after that.
