Welcome to the forum.

I do not believe that your gun is a genuine Smith & Wesson, but a foreign copy most likely from the 1920s, judging by the shape of the ejector rod knob. Many were made in the Basque country of Spain mostly for export to Latin America.

The small logo on the right side does not fit, the barrel/front sight ratio is wrong, the barrel flat cut does not match the ejector rod knob, the serial number you gave does not work, and our technical experts may see other details.

Thanks Absalom.
I suspected it was a clone. It is good to actually confirm it.

I am adding a pic of the serial.

The serial number looks to be 58419. This would be an early 4-screw model of 1905.
Your gun is a 5-screw frame ( 4 on the side plate, and 1 in front of the trigger guard ).

I also do not think this is a S&W.

I can't make out the grip medallion or the logo stamped on the frame, but I'd say it's a Spanish copy of an S&W M&P. There were many of them sold in the USA in the 1920s up until the Spanish Civil War.

Agree. Probably a copy.
It would help to see it with the stocks removed.
