44 Special Day in the back yard
Beautiful day today so I brought out a pre 21 and a pre 24. I'm trying to burn up some old reloads of mine.
The pre 24 in interesting. I bought it years ago from a guy out of Loudon Tennessee. He said he inherited it from his father who purchased it from another man who was a "trick shooter" out of North Carolina. The front sight is filed to a Pyramid shape with a flat on top. It really does aid in precise aiming. The gun letters as an original 4 inch but the target hammer and trigger were added on. So who ever had this gun back in the day was definitely a gun guy and a shooter. 100 Yard gong banging is no problem.

Very nice! 100 yard gong banging with a .44 Special Smith & Wesson is most satisfying!! I do the same thing with my 2nd Model HE's, always fun to do when the guys around you are trying to bang the gong with their tricked out, weighed down, **** laden AR's that they are shooting in the latest Ytube, mall ninja shooting stance!

Not sure which I like more...the guns or the "back yard".
Very cool indeed!

Looks like the guy that has it now is "definitely a gun guy and a shooter"!

That's one advantage of being an old guy. The 1950 Targets, K-32's, Pythons, etc were not cheap, but no where as expensive as they presently are.
Now that I think about it, that's the only advantage of being old that I can come up with.

That 4"er is quite the looker.
BTW - Do the rest of the members of your country club get upset about you shooting firearms on the 9th green - or is that just another "hazard" on the course?

They let him play through WHENEVER he wants. It's just proper course etiquette to shout FORE prior to shooting.
