There have been some postings about such Victories before. These conversions were made in England during the 1950s from surplus WWII British BSRs in .38 S&W by sleeving the chambers for .22 and adding new barrels (and it's possible there were some made by sleeving .38 barrels). Obviously, some changes in the firing pin and hammer also had to be made. They sold for a little more than the surplus .38 BSR Victories, I think for about $40 back then. I have some ads for them in old gun magazines, but I don't know where those magazines are right now. There were probably not many made as it is uncommon to see them. Others may have better information.

I have a few unattributable photos I saved from somewhere, of two different specimen. One is of a Parker-Hale conversion, which would have been the best imaginable quality. They may even be from a forum member.

My very first S&W was one of those! It was in the mid 1950's and I was around 13 or 14.

I've only ever seen exactly one of those in my life. The barrel and cylinder were both sleeved. It's probably been over 25 years since I saw it, and I can't recall what was done to the firing pin.

Don't expect any answers from me.... It's been over 60 years since mine.

I'm sure one has been posted here before, but I sure can't remember when... how about a good picture from top and side view of that adjustable rear sight? I know some "Target" revolvers in the U.K. Had a thin blade in a slot, adjustable by opposing screws for windage only, but this sight looks a little more complex and sophisticated.
