Need help to identify my smith and Wesson
I just got this pistol. The pistol is a 38 special with a 5 inch barrel. Inside of the yoke numbers are k912xxx. Under the number there is a 15-3. Anyone who could inform me of how old it is would be very much appreciated!

Welcome to the Forum.
You have a .38 Combat Masterpiece. The model number is 15-3. It was built around 1969.
Is it a 4" or a 2"? What finish, blue or nickel? Please post pictures.

Welcome to the forum. It really depends on condition, and barrel length. These are mostly 4 inch length. If its really a 5 inch barrel, it would be unusual. In really nice condition between $400 and $500. Do you have the box and tools?

I do not have the box or tools and it's a 4 inch barrel sorry about that. The gun does have some wear on the barrel from a holster and the cylinder has a ring all the way around it. I really appreciate y'all for looking up the info also thank y'all for welcoming me on the form

That does look like a 4" barrel, not 5". This is the most commonly encountered version, and the gun appears to have seen some use, so it's likely to be worth somewhere between $300 and $400 at most.

It would probably sell in the +/-$400 range most places in the USA. Maybe more in CA.
