Are these the correct stocks?
This is M&P from NYPD circa 1931 serial # 618xxx. Are these correct or does it need a set with the large (1/2") medallions?
Best,
Charles

Those are the correct small service stocks as far as I can tell. Since you ask, I assume no luck on numbers on the right panel?

This gun came to me with the earlier non medallion stocks. These were a spare set I had of the small medallion ones. I found a set of the large medallion stocks for sale and just wanted to be certain these were correct before I let those get away.

If they are priced right, buy them. The earlier 1930s stocks with the larger silver medallion are uncommon.

There are a couple of slightly different scenarios noted for the large medallion diamond walnut. Some have been found as early as 1929 on K framed M&Ps. These medallions were silver plated over brass.
Here are my notes:
Probably only installed for the first couple of years, with small on the majority of Ks - or - Large silver medallion stocks were limited to 1930 and serial numbers in the 61X,XXX range. Either way, they are seldom found for sale anywhere.

I can't be sure with the lighting, but if those medallions are gold, as they appear to be, the stocks are 1910-1920 period and not correct for a 1931 revolver.

They are silver. I have several sets of the gold "deep set" medallion ones from 1910-1920.
I also have a M&P from '31 with the large silver medallions. It is in the 612xxx range.
