Hey all, let me show you my newest member, a good old Outdoorsman pre-war. This has seen better days, but still functional and is part of a great legacy from s&w

Cheers !!

As long as she shoots you're doing fine. You'll have it looking good in no time.

Complete with the correct Magna grips. A good candidate for a D-I-Y rust bluing. The grips seem in better condition than the metal finish. Do SNs match?

You should look up Calmex, he is down there and might have some suggestions for ya!

That looks like a neat shooter that has been-there, done-that and got the T-shirt.

I like it. I'd say its best days could still be in the future. Just needs some TLC...but no refinish! I'd like to have one like that.

Lots of oil and some copper wool used gently and any corrosion will be halted. Clean the innards with brake clean (after removing the stocks) and blow out any crud with a compressor or a can of air. A few drops of oil and she should function smoothly. Apply a good coat of Renaissance Wax and she will shine like a new penny.

Revolvers that have seen a lot of service deserve a lot of respect, and that is one respectable firearm. Good for you. That's a great score, and I bet there is a lot of great shooting in it.

Guns with nearby serial numbers shipped in late 1939 and into 1940.
