Default K38 Combat Masterpiece

Was anyone else watching that K38 CM that went out tonight on GB? It would have made a fine companion to the K22 CM I bought a couple weeks ago but I was busy bidding on a 4in Model 29 at the same time. I thought the final price was quite reasonable for the condition. Hopefully one of our compatriots here on the board got it.

Considering condition, that was one great buy. Whoever got it really made a great deal. I have 15-3 that was a rust bucket when I picked it up and it came home from the factory on June 30, a new revolver! The one on Gun Broker is supposed to have the original blue. That' quite unusual for a revolver that old - Wonderful find, whoever has it now!

I would have to consult the bible but if it is like the K22 CM I got since it is a 4 screw, maybe early '57.

Serial number puts manufacture in 1956. I have K278xxx and it shipped in November, 1956. This one probably shipped in late 1956 or early 1957. But only a letter can tell you for sure.

A very nice revolver!
