Default U.S NAVY Victory Ship date

I picked up a US Navy marked Victory with a Boyt 1943 US Navy holster from the pawn shop yesterday, I was just wondering if anyone could help with a ship date. I figure it is a later one as it has the flaming bomb on it. Everything matches including the grips. The serial number is v223892.
Thanks For the help100_2244.jpg

....
The flaming bomb is where it's supposed to be for any Victory prior to about 4/43, when it moved from the butt to the topstrap with the US PROPERTY stamp.

Since the Navy-stamped Victorys were the early ones, one does not see too many all-matching and in such nice shape as yours. The holster is unlikely to be one this particular gun was carried in during the war (Navy personnel like pilots or naval gun crews as a rule were not issued a revolver as a permanent personal sidearm, but got one only for the duration of watches or missions), but it is a nice and period-authentic ensemble.

Close serial numbers were all shipped to the US Navy in Jan. 1943. Ed.
