Default A long .32 long ID

At LGS, do not know why they think that this revolver is worth so much. Am I missing something? Does it look like a factory nickle gun? It is definitely a long barrel and SN is 77712. Any assistance with educating me would be much appreciated. I figured it to be a $300 value.

Default .32 HE 1903 2nd change

Your serial number falls into that range. They came with up to a 6" barrel.

The gun looks to be factory nickel and in above average condition. The value without being able to check it over in person would be in my opinion between $350 and $450.

This is my input and I am not an expert. Maybe a couple experts will be prompted into reply to comment on how close or far away I am.

Thank you mnrivrat for confirmation, I had just summed up 32HE 2nd model after finding some earlier posts

Does the bbl have the frame serial number?

Unless its a picture angle thing it sure looks longer than a 6.

Something about it is alerting my gun spider sense.

Nickel looks good, I can't tell if it is factory.
Strange the hard rubber grips look more worn than the nickel, though.

It's the original nickel plating and 6" barrels for the I frame are scarce, but still over priced in my opinion.

Barrel numbers match. I may go back by and check it out again. See if I can remove grips and measure the barrel.

There are only 3 barrel lengths in that era for 32s: 3 1/4", 4 1/4", and 6". It's clearly not either of the other two.

The gun looks righteous as a better-than-average condition for a shooter, but the price is about twice what I would expect to pay for it... I too would expect to see it priced somewhere in the $300-350 range IF it is as good mechanically as it appears cosmetically. JMHO, and with a couple of bucks that will get you a latte at McDonald's.
