Engraved S&Ws
I like S&Ws & Engraved S&Ws even more. Liking & affording being far apart, it was DIY --
This Model 66 I traded LGS for it NIB. a nice Colt double barrel shotgun. Th grips I had bought couple years before at Baltimore gun show; the eagle part of my engraving project.
My first Triple Lock came to me 1980s at OK City gun show for $135 looking poor, failing cold blue but nice inside. A bit of TLC & ivory grips I'd got carved in Africa 30 years before, local carver copying N frame grips $6 a pair, then DIY eagle.
Not DIY but part of a trade ca. 1990, Model 1, .22 short, engraved, ivory & gold washed, once someone's pride & joy surviving in good condition & suffering from age & neglect.
Maybe my modest showing will attract others ---->

Those are some nice shooters. I do love engraved guns. I've owned a few through the years. I only have a couple left, 1911s.

I admire your efforts on engraving. Not something for the average DIY fan. And you have executed the projects very well.
I am curious as to how much time you have into the projects. Do you have any idea how many hours went into the 66 or the TL?

If it's not too much trouble you post some close-ups.

The nearest estimate I did was half hour per square inch to do the pencil layout plus an hour per for the cutting ----->

Nice work! I tend to be a minimalist. Most times I think less is more. So, tightly packed engravings tend to get "lost in the crowd". I don't mind 100% coverage as long as the engraving has less "work" per square inch.
