Model 10 with Target Hammer?
Was at a local show this past weekend and ran across a fella selling a M&P in nickel with a C prefix. It had a Target Hammer which I've never seen on a Model 10. I've attempted Google search and Forum search and unable to find any info. Was a Target Hammer ever available from S&W on a Model 10?

It would be easy enough to install one . . .

Sure it is easy. I have a 4" M617-0 that I installed a target hammer and target trigger on. My preference. I just like them better. Big Larry

In many cases, especially with later revolvers, the replacement of the hammer by the owner is a simple task often not requiring any fitting. eBay is a good source of standard hammers if you wish to replace the target hammer, although I don't know why you would do that. In any event, it is highly unlikely that your M&P came from the factory with a target hammer.

My nickel 10-8 is an ex-LEO revolver from the early 1980s. I knew the officer and know what was done to the gun. It had some action work done on it including replacing the hammer and trigger with target models. And, as very often done back then, the Magnas were quickly changed out for Pachs. Even though I don't like nickel finishes I keep the gun because of the incredibly smooth action.
