Recently acquired Box for First Model K22 Outdoorsman. Serial
number on bottom of box in faint pencil is 657536. Apparently
written on top of box in faint pencil marking is date of 1-19-37.
Plan is to sell box; but if any of my fellow members have matching revolver w/same S/N want to give you opportunity to mate revolver with its original box. Please advise.

I show an M&P SN 6577xx as shipping in 9/36. The date on the box is likely correct.

Usually, the serial number is written on a piece of white tape stuck to the bottom. It is on mine anyway. Thank you for thinking about Forum members first. Big Larry

657405 was shipped in July 1936 and 657563 was shipped in June 1936, according to a Forum request for ship dates from Roy. No one has requested info. on 657536. Ed

S/N is indeed written on white label on bottom of box. Date of 1/19/37 could indicate when purchased by first owner.

I have two in the 657XXX SN range, both of which were shipped in September 1936. Both currently have boxes, but not ones that number to them.
