Box only - I would expect that it came with a Helpful Hints, the pre-war SAT, a wire brush, a wire swab, the tan tissue paper, and perhaps a green warranty card and perhaps an off-white caution card...
Here's the box (the "patent box" attached on the back and opened on the front) of one that shipped with a humpback hammer...
Here's a K-22 Outdoorsman with what I believe were most of the contents...

Absolutely beautiful. I think you are missing the wire brush. When I bought my 22 Outdoorsman, I got the original box and papers with it, but the seller wanted another $1,500 for the two cleaning rods. One was like yours as shown, and the other a wire brush on a like twisted steel rod. Not for $1,500. I can live without them, but they do show from time to time on Ebay. Thanks for sharing. Love your revolver. Big Larry

Richard,
I have an identical box, same end label, SN: 682162. Rubber stamped: TARGET but not designated K32. Also, in rear, in fountain pen, hand written is script: To P.E. Young, St. Pete PD (it seems).
Is this one of your serial numbers ? From Neal & Jinks it is in range but not listed. Several more have been discovered since 1975 printing as I had one (not listed as number in Neal & Jinks) that I sold it to Ray Brazille about 15 years ago. Sal

Sal:
I don't have the gun... just the box and as you noted the SN is in the Neal & Jinks range, but not specifically listed... I'd love to find the K-32 with HBH to put in the box. Right now it houses a K-38 Target. 3-4 of my K-38 Targets live in patent boxes with the rubber "Target" stamp and some pencil details on the bottom of the box.

Long shot, though it was, I don't have many .38 targets in that serial number range. Actually, it should not have come to me as a surprise that S&W would use a .38 M&P box for the K-32 , while it wasn't a long shot that " if " either a K-32 or a 1905 4th target showed up in that range that you might own it.

With less than 100 Pre War K-32's out there, I can't imagine many boxes survived. I do know a man that has a K-32 Club Gun. He neighbor was upper management at Smith & Wesson. We discussed how rare it was. His next statement practically floored me. He asked me if the guns are so rare, how rare is the box it's in? I'll be seeing him in the next few weeks. I'll try to get a picture of the gun and box.

Don, when you get a picture, please post it in the K32 Compendium thread so it gets captured with the other K32's.
