Outdoorsman at LGS
A local LGS has an K22 Outdoorsman serial #664xxx that has some significant bluing loss, and scratches. There is some freckling on the hammer and trigger. There is not much end shake and it locks up fairly well. The pin near the rear sight is lacking bluing and may have been removed and replaced. The grip stocks appear to be in good shape and extend above the round cutout in the grip frame on the side closest to the blackstrap. I would appreciate it if somebody could give me an idea of the value of this revolver. Thank you for your assistance!

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! Without seeing the gun, it is going to be hard for an expert to appraise it. I'll give you the valuations from the Standard Catalog and let you guess since you have actually seen the gun.

Brain cramp here....what's the difference between the K22 Outdoorsman and the K22 Masterpiece? Outdoorsman pre war?

Robert, they were both pre-WWII. The major differences were long throw hammer on OD, short throw on Masterpiece; two screw rear sight adjustment on OD vs. microclick rear sight on Masterpiece.

The OD was made in larger numbers prior to WW II; the prewar K-22 Masterpiece production is thought to be just over 1000 examples; and the postwar version of the gun was still called the Masterpiece.
To the OP, this sounds to be a $600-750 gun, but that depends a great deal on its finish condition. "Significant" to one person is different for someone else, so photos would help here.
